The Jack Benny show first ran on the Blue Network, May 2 - Oct. 26, 1932 as The Canada Dry Program. It moved to CBS, Oct. 30, 1932 - Jan. 26, 1933 and was still referred to as The Canada Dry Program. A switch the NBC network was then made, Mar. 17, 1933 - Apr. 1, 1934 and was carried as The Chevrolet Program. While still with NBC the show was then called "The General Tire Show", Apr. 6 - Sep. 28, 1934. The show name was then changed to The Jell-O Program, NBC Oct. 14, 1934 - May 31, 1942. Still staying with NBC the show title changed again to The Grape Nuts and Grape Nuts Flakes Program, Oct. 4, 1942 - Jun. 4, 1944. It's last run on NBC was then called The Licky Strike Program, Oct 1, 1944 - Dec. 26, 1948. CBS then picked up the show and keep the program name as The Lucky Strike Program, Jan. 2, 1949 - May 22, 1955. This 23 year radio run and it's popularity made it an easy change to TV.
