The show was very short lived, airing on CBS, March 28 - June 27, 1948.

Others appearing on the show were John Hoyt as the managing editor Don Robard. Florence Halop as Irene Brown, a waitress in Fred's Grill and a friend of Shorty's. Bert Holland as Shorty's pal Emmett, a parolee. Carol Williams as Louis, Emmett's sister. In addition to the cast members where Joan Banks, Jeanne Bates, Parley Baer, William Conrad, Joe Ewell, Earle Ross, Mary Lansing, and Gerald Mohr.
